Our Story

CapriCrafts was born from a lifelong passion for wood and traditional craftsmanship. Trained at the Art Institute of Monopoli in Italy, Cesare Capri began his journey working in local workshops, restoring antiques and crafting string instruments.

Over time, this passion evolved into the creation of unique, handcrafted pieces — from pipes and lamps to writing instruments — each shaped by hand and guided by the natural character of the wood.

Today, working from the UK, Cesare continues to blend Italian heritage with contemporary design, transforming raw materials into timeless objects made to be used, held, and appreciated for years to come.

Cesare Capri’s journey with wood began in Southern Italy, where he trained at the Art Institute of Monopoli and spent his early years working in small local workshops. There, surrounded by skilled hands and traditional tools, he learned not only techniques, but a way of thinking — slow, patient, and deeply connected to the material.

From restoring antique pieces to crafting string instruments, wood became more than a material; it became a language.

Years later, that same passion travelled with him to the UK, where CapriCraftsArt was born. Today, every piece is still made by hand, guided by the natural grain of the wood and the instinct developed over decades of practice.
